Le Teapot from La Cafetiere seems to attract nothing but 5 star reviews. I am yet to hear a complaint.

Here is why. Firstly, it is great to look at. It is made from borosilicate glass, which if you are unfamiliar with, is a super tough, heat and cold resistant glass (ideal for glass teapots). It also means that it remains ultra clear and doesn’t get murky or cloudy over time. The tea drinker who prefers their brew just so, will easily be able to gauge when the tea has infused to the perfect point. This glass teapot is available with either a stainless steel or black plastic finish. Both options are very attractive. The design is light hearted and fun with a shape stolen from a fish bowl, with some waves to keep it company. The handle is well integrated from a styling perspective and happens to be sturdy and easy to use.

Secondly, it is a high quality and very practical item. As mentioned, it is made from a very resilient type of glass, making it dishwasher and microwave friendly. It works well for both hot and cold drinks. The filter basket is removable for easy operation and cleaning. In fact the entire device is easy to wash and makes drinking tea an absolute pleasure. On the topic, the filter basket is made from a tightly woven mesh which means that no stray leaves are going to be lurking about next time you make a cup of tea.

Two sizes are available, 23 fluid ounces for 3-4 cups and for the thirstier consumer, a 42 fluid ounce fellow, for around 6 cups. I did say cups and not mugs!
